The Art of Dressing

Now that we’ve determined that you are a Natural Yin (meaning you have mixed features) and also a little Soft Classic, we can start training in on what looks best on you.

I said it before but it bears repeating: YOUR INSTINCTS ARE RIGHT ON THE MONEY. I am an Hourglass Yang, which is why I can pull off bodycon dresses and animal prints, but not maxi dresses or floral prints. I did not know this before and would sometimes try to buy maxis and floral prints (sometimes maxi florals!), but they never got worn because they don’t suit my Kibbe. Which leads me back to my other points: it’s a waste of space and money to purchase items that aren’t flattering to your body type and style.

Okay. I’m done hammering about that. Let’s look at the heroes of our little story.

By looking at the exemplars, we see:

  • None of these men are naturally “beefy”

  • They wear solid, neutral colors or traditional/subtle patterns made of good material

  • V-necks or open collars are a must to make you appear taller and lengthen your torso. Seriously. Crewnecks are not your friend.

  • Yin Naturals should wear softer clothing and fabrics

  • Shirts are tucked loosely

  • Overall, a more casual style. You already know that no one can rock blue jeans like you; this is why.

  • NOTE: Did you find something that is both VERY BASIC and AMAZING on you? Buy two.
