  • TLM Petite Mixture Marigold

    53 - 63 days. The smallest and one of the most unique of marigolds, perfect to decorate indoors, give as a potted gift, or to keep the butterflies nearby. A dwarf classic marigold great for borders and mass plantings. Easy to germinate given warmth and moisture. Start indoors as transplants so no thinning is required. Put two to three seeds per pot and lightly cover with soil. Transplant when 4” tall, after last frost.

  • Burpee Bush Bean, Triomph de Farcy

    Heirloom French filet bean that bears very early and produces heavily. Slender pods are very flavorful. Sow in full sun 3” apart, seedlings emerge in 7-14 days. Plant March through September, 48 days to harvest, 5 plants per 12” container. HEIRLOOM Triomphe de Farcy produces slender, crunchy pods that have a distinct, rich flavor. This heirloom bean bears very early and very heavily, needs no support and should be harvested often when the pods are 3 to 6" long.

  • Burpee Pole Bean, Kentucky Wonder

    Heirloom favorite, tender stringless pods are best when picked young. 7-9” long. Sow in full sun Mar - Sept, 3“ apart along a trellis or set pole int the ground 2 - 3’ apart and plant 6-8 seeds around pole. Seedlings emerge in 7-14 days, thin to 6” apart. 65 days to harvest. HEIRLOOM. Pods are oval, thick, gently curved, meaty and tender. Stringless when young. One of the most popular beans of all time and a favorite of American gardeners since the late 19th century. Variety can be relied on for peak flavor, productivity, and wide adaptability. Yields abundant clusters of thick, meaty 9" green pods. Stringless when young. Delicious fresh, cooked, frozen, or dried for shell beans.

  • Royal Corona Bean

    Dry beans need warm temperatures to germinate (plant directly May or June, or start indoors earlier) and to produce fruit. They also take longer to produce a crop (~85 days). Shelling beans also can experience "blossom abscission" where flowers drop off the vines when the weather is hot and dry. Abscission is the dropping off of a plant part, like leaves or flowers. It's normal with deciduous trees in the fall, as they lose their leaves. To get a good crop of corona beans start them indoors, maybe in April and transplant them into the garden when the soil temperature is 68-85 degrees in May. Alternatively, you could sow them directly in the soil in May or June when the soil temperature is 65-85. Keep them well watered through the growing season, and expect to harvest them in late August into September.

  • Burpee Golden Beets

    Deep globe shaped golden roots with light green yellow veined tops. Both are sweet and tender, especially when young, Roots do not bleed like red beets. Sow February through August 4” apart. Germinates in 2-3 weeks, 55 days to maturity.

    Productive Italian heirloom with 3 - 4” green head. Great for spring ad fall. Start 8 weeks before, seedings emerge in 10-21 days. Harden off for 1 week. Transplant in September and November, successive plantings. 55-85 days to harvest, 1 plant per 12” container.

    Butterhead, a compact bibb lettuce that will tolerate heat better than most butterheads. Easy to grow with good flavor and texture or salads. Sow every 2 weeks March through August, providing shade and extra water for summer crops. Thin to 10-12” apart, 60-65 days to maturity, harvest outer leaves as needed or cut entire plant.

  • Winter Squash

    Early Acorn Hybrid, semi-bush type. Dark green, acorn type fruits he thick flesh and delicious flavor. Sow Mar- May & July - Aug, 1-2 seeds 36” apart. Seedlings emerge in 7-14 days, 75 days to harvest, 1-2 plants per 12” container.
