Today we met with the garden consultant, who will hopefully be able to guide us in a better direction with our vision — or rather, lack thereof.
Important Items:
Shade for dining
Veg
Cutting flowers in correct color palette
Scale
Hardscaping
1. This needs to be in the back corner by Joe’s fence.
2. Given my diet, I would like to focus mostly on tomatoes. However, there are three beds I got from Gardeners’ a few years ago that can be moved into Holden’s area and tomatoes can grow there, freeing up space in the main part of the yard. Other vegetables I want to include are on the Landscape page.
3. The color palette is: cream, apricot, blush, orange, purple, white, and blue.
4. Maintaining a sense of scale is critically important to Josh.
5. Would like to hardscape around dining area and include twinkly lights along back fence.
6. I like the idea of possibly terracing for interest.
7. I like the idea of structures for climbing plants and lots of pots.
8. We want to include a hot tub in the deck. Josh will need to provide layout as this will primarily be “his” area, as the grill theoretically will be near there, too?
9. I like succulents.
10. I think the ideas of having aromatic potted plants (small rosebushes, basil, rosemary, jasmine, etc) is critical in areas where we will be sitting.
11. I think we will have to make the circle in the middle of the yard much smaller, but large enough so that some of it still shows around the base of the fountain.
12. How are the plants procured?
